2010 will hopefully see the release of  the new full-length cd by BYRON STINGILY.  what is so strange is byron has his own label and consistently puts out tunes but has NO contact info.  his website www.byronstingly.com is perm down, his myspace has not been logged into since October 2007, and there is NO contact info anywhere on the web for him.  this makes no sense.  dont you have to market yourself to make money?  i dont understand.  his Nervous labelmate Kim English has consistently released full-length CDs and CD-singles and the fans love it.  come on, byron, get in touch with your fans and you might have a HUGE career like you deserve.  below are the songs that will appear on his upcoming CD:

Jimmy Somerville’s new CD ‘Suddenly Last Summer’ was released as a download-only CD in May 2009.  I purchased this recently (July 2009).  I am happy to add this CD to my collection.  The CD is a collection of acoustic covers.  Very nice.  Very calm.  His version of ‘I Just Dont Know What To Do With Myself’ ranks up there with Tina Arena’s version.  This disc introduces me to classic songs I was not familiar with.  And I am all about being exposed to new things so this disc is right up my alley.  I would rather have a store-bought CD so I could have the booklet/artwork but I’ll take what I can get when it comes to quality music from my favorite artists.  As you already know, Jimmy used to be in Bronski Beat and The Communards.  I am a late fan of Jimmy’s.  I became a fan with the release of ‘Home’ which was released in Germany only and let me tell you, I was blown away at the quality – the voice, the melodies, the song-writing, and the producing.  Perfection.  All house music.  No filler.  Pure heaven.  Though SLS contains no house music, it is still a welcome addition to my CD collection.  10 out of 10

The new Maxwell CD blackSUMMERSnight hit stores on July 7, 2009.  I claim to be the first one to purchase the much-anticipated disc.  I have been waiting since 2001 when Maxwell’s last cd came out (entitled ‘Now’).  Eight years is a long time to make your fans wait and I have been quite unhappy with Max but now that his new CD is in my hands, I will put the past behind me and move forward.  The best song on the CD is “Pretty Wings.”  The other eight songs are nice.  Good quality soul music with thought-provoking lyrics.  No hip-hop crap here.  Sony is suppose to release two more Maxwell CDs in 2010 and 2011.  We’ll see…  10 out of 10
